Course Aim:
This course will give understanding of catheter care.
Course Content:
Urinary functions in males and females, why and when a catheter may be used, how to change a catheter bag, how to change a flip flow valve, a carers role in catheter care, a nurse role in catheter care, disposal of used catheter bags, protective clothing, hand washing procedures, recording, documentation, monitoring urine content.
Delivery:
An interactive course that allows discussion questions and a 10 minute quiz at the end to ensure understanding
