Palliative Care Full Day
Course Aim:
This course is designed for all Care Workers to ensure they develop the empathy, knowledge and skills to care for a person travelling throught their journey to end of life and the support required at bereavement.
Course Content:
Understanding palliative care, Communicating with the dying person and their loved ones, Understanding the whole person needs, Understanding pain in relation to a whole person approach, what cancer is and the process it invoves, Legislation surrounding palliative care, care during the final hours and days of a person's life, What happens after death and bereavement care.
Delivery:
An interactive course designed to allow discussions and personal feeling and beliefs to receive the knowledge and awareness of this demanding care. The day will finish with input from a spiritualist that would help to resove any myths surrounding death.
