Course Aim:
This course is designed to ensure that all Social Care Workers who may administer medication, do so with regard to safe practice.
Course Content:
An introduction to medicines and prescription, Medicine supply, Storage and Disposal, The safe administration of medication, Quality control and record keeping, Accountability, responsibility and confidentality, Legislation and Policies.
Delivery:
An interactive course delivered to the 'Administration and Control of Medicines in Care Homes and Children Services' published by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in July 2003/updated2007. The course has a blended learning approach to ensure full knowledge and understanding is gained.
