Moving and Handling Full Day with Practical Workshop
Course Aim:
This is a mandatory course required for all Social Care Workers who work within Domiciliary Care. The Course is designed to teach you how to move and handle people safely within current Legislation.
Course Content:
Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, Defining Manual Handling, Employer/Employee Responsibilities, Unsafe Moves, Principles in safe lifting, M.H.O.R. 1992, Risk Assessments, Spinal Anatomy, Equipment Available, LOLER Regulations.
Delivery:
An interactive day that will include both practical and theory based learning. This course will ensure that individuals are adequately trained to move and handle people safely within legislative requirements.
